About the book
The book Foundations of Psychology focuses on the basics
of psychology. It explains about the history, perspectives, meaning, nature and
goals of Psychology. The book helps in understanding of an individual behaviour
in a scientific way. Psychology is a vast
and diverse field that covers the study of human thought, behaviour,
development, personality, emotion, motivation, and more. It also includes
topics like sensation, attention, perception, learning, memory and
Intelligence.
Dr. Tanu Sharma the author of the book “Foundations of Psychology”. is an Assistant Professor at the SSR College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Sayli, Silvassa, DNH. She is the head of the Department of Psychology. She has been teaching to undergraduate students for about 10 years. Dr. Tanu holds a PhD in Psychology and possesses an authority in the field of positive psychology. She has also done an M.Phil in Industrial Psychology and holds an MBA degree in Human resource and management. Dr. Tanu has published many research papers in various journals of national and international repute. Besides teaching, she is carrying out the responsibility as Coordinator of the Guidance and Counseling cell at the College. The author is also a life-member of Bharatiya Counselling Psychology Association (BCPA). Dr. Tanu Sharma is an instructor, counselor and a writer of 'great calibre'. She has traveled extensively inside and outside the country with a view to learning the cultural aspects of human behaviour. Her current book “Foundations of Psychology” will surely help students to understand the ever so fascinating and complex human behavior as well as basic concepts of general psychology.
